Gene originally appeared as the default Mii for the Genie of the Lamp role in the files of the demo for Miitopia (Switch), unused. He later appeared in the full game. His Mii data file can be found in \cmn\storedata\npc_default_mii.sarc > Town01_Genie.charinfo.

His Mii name in his Mii data file is ジンジン ("jinjin"). His build is set to 88/127. His Mii ID is as follows: FC 2E 4F 48 7B 8E 47 45 91 DD C2 2A C3 F5 2D 67

His Mii data file does not contain any unused data.

Information

Gene's role in Miitopia, the Prince from a Nearby Land, is described as so:

   Used to cause no end of trouble until
   the Great Sage sealed him in a lamp.

He bears resemblance to a Mii featured in Miitopia (3DS) promotional art, as it seems many of the Miitopia (Switch) Miis do, but without the original Mii data for the Miitopia (3DS) Mii, it's difficult to pick apart differences between the two.
