The default starter male Mii is the initial Mii presented when creating a new Mii and selecting "male" across all Mii editors. It is included in all Mii software libraries, so any game with Mii support, the default starter male Mii is included in the code. Outside of this however, the default starter male Mii does have unique appearances. Instead of giving all those unique appearances separate pages, all Miis identical to the default starter male Mii will be consolidated into this page, split into different sections for each Mii. All information relevant to that specific iteration will be present.
His Mii data file does not contain any unused data.
The default starter male Mii also appears in all Nintendo Switch games with Mii support alongside the 6 default Guest Miis and the default starter female Mii in the DefaultMii-format.
Inside the July 2021 Leak was a file named Broken1.dat, a RFL Mii database file (the file that stores all the Miis on a Wii system). The file is named Broken1 because the file will not load on a Wii, due to minor corruption. It's possible this corruption was done intentionally to test something with an unknown purpose.
His name in his Mii data file is
Below is a photo of him in the empty Mii Channel, as he is the only Mii in the Mii Plaza in the Broken1.dat file.
While the default starter male Mii is the only Mii present in the Mii Plaza of the Broken1.dat file, the Mii Parade is actually entirely full, featuring 10,000 Miis. Normally, this would mean all ten thousand of these Miis would all get their own pages on the Mii Library. However, all of these Miis appear to be randomly generated. This can be determined by their facial features matching those of the random Mii generation rules, and their names all consisting of the word "Random" followed by a number. The July 2021 Leak also contained a tool that could be run on a Wii that automatically randomly generates 10,000 Miis in the system's Mii Parade, meaning it's extremely likely this tool was used. Thus, due to the sheer amount of the Miis, and the fact that it likely took someone mere seconds to generate all of them (compared to the months - more realistically, years - it would take to make unique pages for all of them on the Mii Library), I have decided that these 10,000 Miis will simply go without pages on this site. However, you are free to download the full Broken1.dat file here and use tools to investigate the Miis yourself, if you wish.
The Blank Mii appears only in unused Tomodachi Life save data. Tomodachi Life can hold a maximum of 100 Miis, but when this maximum has not been reached, the empty slots in the save data are filled with this Mii.
Most of his data is zeroed out, more than any other Mii. Despite this, he does still have some data left in: As with most Miis in the ver3 format, the formatVersion value is set to 3. It seems he was originally made on a 3DS (3), which makes sense, as this Blank Mii only appears in unused Tomodachi Life save data. Copying is turned off and Sharing is turned on, but this is just a result of all other values being set to 0. His Mii name and creator name are both completely blank, something unique to him, as even Miis without a name will still have
The Blank Mii looks like the default starter male Mii due to only most of his Mii data being set to 0. His formatVersion, birthPlatform, height, build, and other Mii face-related data is not set to 0. A truly "blank" Mii - i.e. a Mii with all data really set to 0 - would not be possible to render due to an issue with the eyebrowVertical value.
Mii (Switch) originally appeared unused in the files of the demo for Miitopia (Switch). He later appeared as the default Mii for the Dark Curse role in the full game, marking his first in-game appearance. His Mii data file can be found in
His Mii name in his Mii data file is
Mii (Switch)'s role in Miitopia, the Dark Curse, is described as so:
off, becoming cursed.
This is the only time where, in a Nintendo-developed game, the default starter male Mii has appeared in-game through fully normal means. However, it is quite fitting in-game, as the Dark Curse role is someone who, as the description states, despises their own face. An in-game cutscene reveals that the reason they hate their face so much is because it is too bland, and the default starter male Mii could be considered the blandest possible Mii, since it's the default.
Mii (Switch) does not appear in any promotional artwork for the game. Below is a screenshot of him in-game as his role in Miitopia.
