Nintendo Land released as a launch title for the Wii U in 2012, and was the first appearance of many for the 2012 Miis. Due to the sheer amount of general Mii promotional artwork they appear in, and how they went on to be prominent even into the Nintendo Switch, however, the "Nintendo Land" tag for those 111 Miis did not feel accurately represented them, so the Mii Library refers to them as "the 2012 Miis". Nintendo Land also has several unique Miis found in its files, either only to be used in promotional material, or completely unused. Internally, the Miis are split into two groups: the Lunch Miis ("Lunch" being the internal codename for Nintendo Land) being listed first on the Mii Library, and the World Miis consisting entirely of the 2012 Miis.
