What was originally a tech demo to show off the motion controls of the Wii turned into a launch title that came packaged with nearly every Wii console and an instant classic when it released in November 2006. Wii Sports has 5 sports: baseball, bowling, boxing, golf, and tennis. Many Miis - randomly generated, Miis from the game, and Miis from the user's Mii Plaza - populate the background. In baseball, boxing, and tennis, the Miis from the game also act as opponents for the player, with each of its 60 Miis being better or worse in certain sports. As a launch title and what was originally a tech demo, it wouldn't be incorrect to call Wii Sports the first game with Miis, and with Mii support in general.
