(Wii)
Saburo (Wii) originally appeared as one of the 60 CPU Miis to be included with Wii Sports. Since then, he's appeared in Wii Sports, Wii Sports Resort, Wii Play: Motion, Wii Party, Wii Music, Wii Fit Plus, Wii Fit U, and Nintendogs+Cats as Mii data, and Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate as premade models/textures. Note his absense from Wii Fit, which will be explained in this page's information section. In many of these games, his index ID is
He has Mingling turned off. His Mii name in his Mii data file is
His Mii data file does not contain any unused data.
In Wii Music, his Mii data file is slightly different. While it's mostly the same as it is in Wii Sports Resort, it now includes a filled out Mii ID and console ID. His Mii ID is
According to a September 2020 Nintendo leak about CPU Miis, Saburo (Wii)'s nationality is Japanese (Asian).
In the files for Wii Sports, his dominant arm for Baseball (Batting) is right-handed, Baseball (Pitching) is right-handed, and Tennis is left-handed. His unused dominant arm for Boxing is right-handed. His Baseball Pitching style is underhand. He's ranked 14 in Baseball, 6 in Boxing, and 6 in Tennis, where a lower rank value performs better. His group IDs are 0, 0, and 0.
In the files for Wii Sports Resort, his Wii country ID is 1, which all Miis are set to. His dominant arm for Table Tennis is right-handed. He's ranked 44 in Swordplay, 40 in Basketball, 65 in Table Tennis, and 28 in Cycling, where a lower rank value performs better.
Interestingly, despite Wii Fit containing almost all 60 CPU Miis from Wii Sports, one Mii is absent: Saburo (Wii). The reason for his absence is likely a mistake, as he was later re-added to the sequel, Wii Fit Plus.
After defeating the champion of a sport in Wii Sports Resort, the next opponents you face are randomly selected CPU Miis. However, due to a bug in the code, Saburo can not randomly appear as an opponent after the champion. This is because the code for the game randomly selects a Mii from index IDs 00 to 99, but that search isn't inclusive of those two values, leaving out both Saburo (ID 00) and Marisa (ID 99) from the selection pool.
In Wii Party's Friend Connection game, the default score rankings establish a relationship between Saburo (Wii) and Miyu, with them being 2nd in the worst friendships category at 28 points (Kinda Chums).
In Super Smash Bros. for 3DS, inside the /motion/ folder is different folders for all the fighters' animations. Curiously, there is one folder named /saburo/ in this directory, containing nothing but an empty /body/ folder. While it would be fun to speculate that Saburo (Wii) was planned to be established as one of gaming's greatest icons as a playable fighter in Super Smash Bros., the more likely reason for this folder's existence was that Saburo was used to test the Mii Fighters in an early stage of development.
While the names of the CPU Miis from Wii Sports Resort were also given to the CPU Sportsmates characters in Nintendo Switch Sports, version 1.2.0 of the game added 10 CPU Miis as an easter egg, activated by holding down L + ZL or R + ZR when on the CPU configuration screen. Saburo is one of the CPUs to have gotten a Mii version, however his Mii has been altered since his appearance on the Wii. Below is a comparison between his Wii appearance and his Switch appearance.
Here's how to recreate this Mii on the Wii:
